Trust

Invoice INV-00482 is $4,290 higher than last month, up 38%. I traced it to two changes on this account:
| Line | Driver | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Platform plan | Base subscription, unchanged | $7,500.00 |
| Mid-cycle upgrade | Amendment on the 14th, prorated | +$1,840.00 |
| API usage | 1.2M calls over the 5M commit | +$2,450.00 |
| Total | vs. $11,000 prior month | $15,290.00 |
Root cause: the 38% increase is legitimate — a Tier 2 upgrade amendment, prorated for 17 days, plus a usage overage on the API meter. No pricing or proration errors in the bill run.
I ran a simulation on RC-10237 with the proposed amendment — before and after, under ASC 606. Nothing has been written to the ledger.
| Metric | Current | Proposed |
|---|---|---|
| Total contract value | $240,000 | $300,000 |
| Remaining POB to allocate | $88,000 | $148,000 |
| Revenue recognized this period | $20,000 | $23,600 |
| Deferred balance after close | $68,000 | $124,400 |
Watch: the mid-term add creates a modification that reallocates across the remaining performance obligations. This period’s recognition rises $3,600; the rest defers evenly across the extended 12 months.
There is an agent for that
Bill runs piling up? Cash application eating your week? Journal entries blocking close? Across every stage of quote-to-cash, there is a purpose-built agent ready to take the work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Zuora AI?
Zuora AI is an intelligence layer built into the Zuora platform. It helps finance teams analyze data, investigate issues, generate insights, and manage quote-to-cash workflows including billing, cash application, collections, contract analysis, revenue recognition, and audit response. Its agents can complete multi-step workflows and take governed actions.
Zuora MCP Servers extend approved Zuora context to external AI tools. Actions follow existing role permissions, require approval before execution, and are recorded in Zuora’s audit trail.
What are Zuora AI capabilities?
Zuora AI capabilities span billing, collections, revenue recognition, pricing, integrations, and finance analytics. These capabilities help finance teams investigate faster, simulate accounting outcomes, automate repetitive workflows, and execute actions with full governance and audit trace.
Is Zuora AI a chatbot?
No. Zuora AI includes a conversational chat experience, but it is more than a standalone chatbot. It combines specialized agents, workflow intelligence, reusable runbooks, and governed actions within quote-to-cash workflows.
Does Zuora AI make changes automatically?
No. In Supervised mode, Zuora AI requires explicit user approval before taking write actions or changing Zuora records. Read-only capabilities can analyze data and generate insights without making changes.
Does Zuora AI respect user permissions?
Yes. Zuora AI uses Zuora’s existing access controls and permissions model, so users can view data and perform only the actions they are authorized to access.
What is Zuora MCP and what can it do?
Zuora MCP Servers implement the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that securely connects approved AI clients—including Claude, Cursor, and custom internal agents—to Zuora billing, revenue, and contract data, APIs, SDKs, and product documentation.
Finance teams can ask plain-language questions and receive structured, tenant-aware answers grounded in live Zuora data. Developers can use Zuora APIs and SDKs to build quote-to-cash integrations.
Zuora MCP honors each tenant’s AI mode. Write operations are blocked at the server for read-only tenants, and production connections should be limited to enterprise-governed AI accounts.
How does Zuora AI handle revenue recognition?
Zuora AI supports ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition using live revenue data. It helps teams analyze contract modifications, simulate allocations, evaluate standalone selling price and transaction-price calculations, and generate audit documentation.
Zuora AI surfaces formulas, assumptions, and calculation traces so teams and auditors can review the result. It does not independently post to the ledger: it proposes changes, a user approves them, and committed actions are attributed to that user in Zuora’s audit trail.
How is customer data protected?
Zuora AI operates within Zuora’s existing security and compliance envelope. Under the Zuora AI Commitments, neither Zuora nor its AI providers use customer data to train, retrain, improve, or fine-tune AI models. This contractual commitment applies to every customer, and data is used only to generate a response to the specific request.
AI processing is covered by ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS Level 1. Zuora also holds ISO 42001 certification for AI management systems. Zuora AI is optional and can be disabled at any time by a Zuora OneID Organization Adm
